I'd rather a mix of dense midrise apartments, highrise urban core, with rowhouses intermixed.like SF, Boston, NYC, D.C., Chicago. I'm fine with rowhouse neighborhoods here or there especially if they aren't the cookie cutter kind, kind of like D.C., but not when it consist of 80-90% of the urban fabric of the city. I feel like miles and miles of rowhouses are sooo boring. I really like that there are many on here that have passion about "place". I am sorry we came to blows here, but it really doesn't mean much at the end of the day. OK, you are probably someone who I could get along with, so Peace. But I give credit where credit's due and admit that Seattle, on paper, is the better city in nearly every category as of today. I'm one of them because the city just simply appeals to me more. Still, for personal reasons, there are people who would choose Baltimore over Seattle. Seattle does beat it almost every other category though. The award for the narrow definition of having a more dense built environment in the core hands down goes to Baltimore. That's literally all I've been saying this entire thread. But the health of Seattle's economy and its growth and lifestyle and everything else just simply don't matter in this thread. It may be more important in other threads about where to relocate or which is the better city for someone or which has the brighter future or almost anything else. And yes, the overall health of Seattle is much better. Seattle, as a city, is doing phenomenally. I've never once said in this thread anything different. It has a much stronger draw than Baltimore and probably will for quite some time, possibly forever. Seattle does have the stronger economy, better downtown, safer streets, etc. But it's an easy and clear winner: Baltimore. I never said that winning a thread was like omg so important. So, we can put this to rest as Baltimore winning a somewhat narrow definition of the thread. You can purchase tickets to ‘ MATTE presents BLACK NYC‘ here.Perhaps, but the overall health of a city is, in my opinion, more important.
